About the founder
Taniqua Purdie is the visionary behind Luxury Children’s Books LLC, the first publishing house dedicated to curating children’s literature as both fine art and timeless heirlooms.
Raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with a family deeply rooted in childcare and education, Taniqua’s journey has always centered on children’s growth, learning, and well-being. She earned her degree in Psychology from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Couples, Family, and Marital Therapy from Kutztown University. Her career spans work as a youth counselor, addiction counselor, and professional nanny—roles that gave her a rare, intimate perspective on how children learn, thrive, and express themselves.
With decades of experience in early childhood education, Taniqua mastered the art of identifying and nurturing individual learning styles. She taught infants to sign before they could speak, guided preschoolers into early literacy and mathematics, and developed personalized teaching methods that empower children to discover their strengths.
Luxury Children’s Books was born from her belief that every child deserves to see themselves reflected in books that are as beautiful, meaningful, and enduring as the lessons they carry. Each collection from the luxury set merges storytelling with artistry designed not only for children to learn and dream, but also for families to treasure, display, and pass down for generations.
Taniqua’s mission is both educational and cultural: to elevate children’s literature into the realm of fine art while honoring the individuality of every child’s learning superpower.
